The Oakland Raiders offseason Battle of the Bay bout with the San Francisco 49ers resulted in new head coach Jon Gruden’s first loss of his latest resume-builder.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Rod Woodson, who played for both the 49ers and Raiders, flipped the coin in front of Gruden, general manager Reggie McKenzie and Niners general manager John Lynch. With the Niners winning the coin flip, Lynch will now have the ninth overall pick while McKenzie and the Silver & Black will pick 10th.

The coin flip was necessary after both teams finished with 6-10 records and were tied with a .512 strength of schedule.
