The Oakland Raiders started their first week of Organized Team Activities on Tuesday, but that didn’t stop them from adding to their roster.

Shortly after they concluded practice, New York Jets head coach broke the news after a practice of his own almost 3,000 miles away.

The Raiders released quarterback Josh Johnson last week, but still have Derek Carr, EJ Manuel and Connor Cook in their quarterback room. The Raiders won’t be releasing anyone to make room for Hackenberg, and it looks like they won’t have to give up any compensation if he doesn’t find room.

Hackenberg was drafted in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the NY Jets but hasn’t set foot on the field during the regular season.
