The Oakland Raiders ended their tumultuous ties with linebacker Aldon Smith, the team announced on Monday. The Raiders have decided to release the disgruntled linebacker after he was involved in an alleged incident of domestic violence over the weekend. Raiders to select 10th overall in April’s NFL Draft

The Oakland Raiders offseason Battle of the Bay bout with the San Francisco 49ers resulted in new head coach Jon Gruden’s first loss of his latest resume-builder. Pro Football Hall of Famer Rod Woodson, who played for both the 49ers and Raiders, flipped the coin in front of Gruden, general manager Reggie McKenzie and Niners general manager John Lynch. Raiders receive four compensatory draft picks

The league announced Friday that the Oakland Raiders will receive four compensatory draft picks for the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft. All four extra picks will come in the sixth round, with the Raiders receiving the 36th (210th overall), 38th (212th overall), 42nd (216th overall) and 43rd (217th overall) selections in the round. Four compensatory selections is the maximum that any team can receive.
