Get your popcorn ready, Raider Nation, HBO’s hit sports show “Hard Knocks” will be joining the Oakland Raiders when they head north to Napa Valley for the 2019 training camp.

For those not familiar, “Hard Knocks” is an HBO Sports production in association with NFL films that gives an unfiltered all-access look at an NFL team, which this year will be Jon Gruden’s Raiders.

The five-episode season will spotlight a rebuilt Raiders roster than now has an intriguing mix of veterans, including wide receiver Antonio Brown, and young rookie hopefuls that include three first-round picks.

Both Gruden and new general manager Mike Mayock have extensive experience working in media so it will be interesting to see how they handle the increased spotlight due to HBO’s presence.

The Raiders can’t say no to HBO, even if they want to, since they have never been featured and don’t have a first-year head coach. The selection surely comes as a relief for the 49ers, Lions, Giants and Redskins, who were the only other possible teams.

Fans can expect episodes to begin Tuesday, Aug. 6th and run every Tuesday through Sept. 3rd.
