Keeping true to their tradition in the 2018 NFL Draft, Reggie McKenzie and the Raiders continued to stay active, only this time they traded up.
The Raiders traded up to the 65th overall pick to continue to bolster their offensive line, selecting tackle Brandon Parker out of North Carolina A&T.
Like the Raiders first round pick Kolton Miller, Parker is a long, athletic offensive tackle that may need some time to develop. Standing at 6-foot-7, 305-pounds, Parker has the size that NFL teams look for in a tackle but Raiders offensive line coach Tom Cable could have some work ahead of him with Miller and Parker.
The Raiders entered the 2018 NFL Draft with a need on the offensive line after Marshall Newhouse was cut and with starting left tackle Donald Penn turning 35. Parker and Miller could be the future left tackle, while both will battle it out for the starting right tackle position.
