After losing cornerbacks David Amerson, Sean Smith and TJ Carrie, the Oakland Raiders finally got a little bit of help on Friday.

The Raiders have announced that they have agreed to a deal with free agent cornerback Rashaan Melvin, who played for the Indianapolis Colts for the last two years. Over his career, Melvin has played in 37 games (21 starts), totaling 118 tackles, three interceptions, 21 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Last year, the 6-foot-2, 196-pound cornerback started in all 10 appearances, totaling 36 tackles, three interceptions and 13 passes defensed.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that it’s a one-year deal worth $6.5 million for Melvin.
